What does it mean to be human? Checkpoint Theatre's latest Singapore Arts Festival commission weaves the consequences of neuroscience and computing into a subtle, compelling intellectual thriller.

Writer-director Huzir Sulaiman is prompted by philosopher Descartes' famous proclamation - "Cogito, ergo sum" -- better known as "I think, therefore I am."

In a powerful exploration of grief, loss, and identity, he takes us into the near future, where technology has changed everything except the strength - and fragility - of the human spirit.

Digital artist Casey Lim collaborates, creating images of luminous beauty and subtle power.

Actresses Claire Wong and Neo Swee Lin play women who discover they are grieving for the same man. But the secrets they piece together about their pasts threaten to overwhelm the present - and their very sense of identity.
